Mrs. Davenport is responsible for the taxonomic identification of annelids and other invertebrates from benthic samples.  She supervises the rough sorting of these samples.  She also has conducted marine resource surveys, bathymetric surveys and water quality sampling.  She authored our Diving Safety Manual and currently serves as the Diving Safety Officer for Terra Environmental.

Prior to joining Terra Environmental, Mrs. Davenport was with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida.  There, she participated in assessing health and recruitment of scallops and oysters and monitored biological and physical attributes of re-nourished beaches.  Before moving to Florida, Mrs. Davenport was employed by Texas A&M University at Galveston as a teaching assistant for Biology, Scientific Diving and Tropical Marine Ecology classes.  Additionally, Mrs. Davenport was employed as a turtle monitor for Galveston County and was responsible for observing turtle activity in construction zones along Galveston beaches.  Prior to living in Texas, Mrs. Davenport worked for Catalina Island Marine Institute as an environmental educator.
